Stryn Winterski (20 minutes from the hotel) has good alpine, snowboarding, Telemark, and cross-country skiing conditions.

Via Ferrata Loen

Experience the spectacular scenery of Loen on the Via Ferrata Loen to Hoven (1010 m.a.s.). An airy experience for those who are seeking a different challenge. Focus on safety.

Zipline

On top of Hoven mountain (1000 metres above sealevel) Loen Active opened two brand new ziplines this summer, which are 125 and 95 metres long.

Kayak

Experience Loen from a kayak, either at Lake Lovatnet or on the Nordfjord. Loen Active offer guided tours in double kayaks almost all year round.

SUP - stand up paddle

Loen Active has SUP boards for rent. Rental of SUP boards includes paddles, life jackets, wetsuits and wet shoes.

Loen Valley and Loen Lake

Loen Valley is beautiful, either you go by bicycle or drive along the Loen Lake. Enjoy a boat trip with MB Kjendal on the Loen Lake. Loen Valley got known for the big avalanches and tidal waves early this century, that wiped out a hole community twice.

Briksdal Glacier

Try a "Troll" car to the glacier, or enjoy a refreshing walk from Briksdalsbre Mountain Lodge.

Loen Shuttle

Shuttle bus with three daily departures Loen - Lodalen - Oppheim - the best way to experience Loen and Lodalen Valley.

Hydlaparken

In "Hydla Park" in Stryn you can play your way through climbing trails in the treetops, yell through ziplines, challenge yourself in the pump track or relax with a cup of coffee. 

Jostedalsbreen National Park Centre

The National Park Centre is beautifully situated by the Stryn Lake in Oppstryn.

Sagastad

Sagastad at Nordfjordeid is a brand new knowledge center focusing on the Viking Age. Here you can explore the 30 meter (100ft) long Myklebust ship – one of the worlds largest viking ships that has been found traces of. 

Geiranger

Geiranger is approximately 1,5 hours from Loen. The world heritage areas in the Geiranger fjord is a great experience.

The west coast

Directly to the west, only 2 hours from Loen, you can reach white sandy beaches in the ocean gap.
