The history behind Alexandra

Situated between towering mountains and the long and deep fjords, we have been receiving guests at the Alexandra for over 125 years.

When Anders Markusson Loen opened the hotel in 1884, he could welcome 20 guests. Since then the hotel has been renovated and built out several times, but is still run by the same family together with all our staff.
